(Trigonella foenum-graecum) The aromatic leaves are a popular potherb in India. Also used in curry powder, in imitation flavorings, and as a coffee substitute. The seeds make a tasty tea. Popular in western Asia and the Mediterranean.

What are the pros? Every seed germinates

What are the cons? None

Review:

It's amazing. Every seed germinates, every plant produces more seeds. The plant also acts as a nitrogen fixer! Just give it decent soil in a good sized pot or in the ground, water if you remember and don't worry much. This one takes care of itself, even in northern Minnesota! The seeds are an ingredient in most curry powders, and can flavor a dish by themselves easily. Buy this plant, you won't regret it.

What are the pros? smell, easy to grow

What are the cons? looks similar to some "weeds"

Review:

I threw these seeds in the garden with zero care. My front sidewalk is along a busy road and it is difficult to get anything to grow, so I just threw these on top of the soil and forgot about them. I only remembered planting them when I was out in my garden one morning and it smelled like maple syrup everywhere! It was fantastic! I couldn't even see any flowers and the smell was still strong. This is a great plant for a "scent garden". I absolutely love it.

What are the pros? Easy to grow, prolific,

What are the cons? None

Review:

This is the easiest plant to grow. I grow it for the seeds and every time I cut off a pod, anther one pops up. Leaves are also delicious. Every seed germinated. I can not say enough about how awesome fenugreek is. Eat the seeds and you will smell like maple syrup.
