Festival Fine Print: Rules and Frequently Asked Questions

Why did you change the registration and fee structure for the Spring Planting Festival?

Baker Creek has added many new greenhouses and gardens since our last festivals in 2019, and as a result, the space for parking is more limited. We encourage ride sharing and car pooling. We are requiring pre-registration of vehicles and a parking fee of $20 in order to make the best possible use of our available space.  The fee for two-axle vehicles (and festival admission for all occupants) is $20. Oversized vehicles such as RVs and trailers will be charged an additional $30 fee at the gate. The fee is per vehicle, not per person.

If I don't need a parking space, do I have to pay to get into the festival?

No. Pedestrians and others not requiring a parking space are admitted free.

Is a parking pass good for both days of the festival?

Yes.

How will you accommodate handicapped parking?

There will be a designated handicapped parking area, indicated with signage, with a shuttle to the festival grounds. Be advised that while the seed store and buildings are wheelchair accessible, the terrain at the village and greenhouse areas is uneven.

May I camp at the Spring Planting Festival?

There will be a limited number of rustic campsites available. RVs and trailers will be charged an additional $30 fee at the gate for the Spring Planting Festival, May 8 and 9, 2022. If your tent camping set up and vehicle take up two parking spaces, you will also be charged an additional $30 fee.

What is your policy on smoking? Smoking is only permitted in a designated smoking area or inside personal vehicles in the parking area. Smoking is not permitted in the village or on the festival grounds.

What is your policy on possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages? Consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited everywhere on Baker Creek property.

Are dogs allowed? Dogs are allowed, with the following provisions: They must either be crated or leashed at all times.
