An interesting plant
Easy to Grow 4.5
EarlyMaturity 4.0

What are the pros? Attractive flowers, tall plant

What are the cons? Mildly unpleasant scent

I have a little trouble with germination with feverfew, but once you have seedlings you will be set. The plant grows a little bit the first year, in fact my seedlings flowered in late fall. Then the next spring they grew immensely--I was surprised to see them reach about four feet. The plants were covered with small chamomile-like flowers. I had this plant in my herb garden but it is a bit big and I will transplant it elsewhere. I think it might prefer a somewhat drier and less fertile area as it was 'sloppy' with the tall stems flopping as the season progressed, much like cosmos or other plants will do in too-fertile or too-moist soil. I also found the scent of the plant to be a little odd, just slightly unpleasant. However this scent was only noticeable when brushing against, trimming or otherwise handling the plant. Feverfew would/will make a fabulous perennial plant for the back of a border or center of a flower garden. I haven't yet tried its medicinal properties.
