What are the pros? High yields, strong plants
What are the cons? Lake of information on them
I got this one in a little late for here in Iowa, but they are performing great. I have a mixture of all 3 colors and they are all wonderful to eat (fried in olive oil, battered, shish kabob'ed or in stir fry) . Though there is no real description of when to eat them; I suggest, the smalller the better (about 4 to 7 inches, you'll jusst have to experiment). If the green ones start getting white in them, they will be seedy and the skin becomes chewy. Aside from that, they are great to eat and a great display on my Farmers Market tables. Not a fussy plant at all, we had great weather for eggplants this year and my soil has a Ph of about 7, used goat manure (which was full of weed seed) other than that, it was worry free for me.
