What are the pros? These were huge
What are the cons? ...almost too huge
I started these from seed and put them out in late March or early April. I'm in central AZ. I was astounded at how big these got. I gave several away, and harvested one at ten pounds because it was getting TOO big. I needed it to fit in the refrigerator. It kept well there, and I'd just cut off what I needed and put it back in the refrig. I also made several quarts of sauerkraut that came out well. A word of caution, plant it in a different place the next year. The ones that got planted in the same place did not fare well, although I still got a nice crop from the ones planted in a different garden.
