What are the cons? Not heat-tolerant, blossom rot

Review:

I grow a variety of tomato plants every year, some tried and true, and some new. I try to choose plants that are good for the Willamette Valley, which tends to have cool nights all summer. This was my first try for Granny and the last, even though I loved the history of the plant. The fruit scalded when we had 90 degree days for a short spell, and the blossom end rot was so bad I finally pulled the plants and tossed them. I saw blossom end rot in one other variety, Jersey Devil, but seven other varieties in 24 plantings did great. I start all plants in a cold house and have been doing so for 17 years. So Granny didn't work here, alas.
