Muscari armeniacum Grape Hyacinth (25 bulbs)
The grape hyacinth is not technically a hyacinth, but rather a similar plant called muscari. This fragrant flowering bulb is planted in fall and blooms in early spring. It is perennial in USDA zones 3-9 and typically grows to between 4 and 8 inches tall. The plants perform best when provided with afternoon shade. Grape hyacinths look best when planted en masse; perhaps the most famous planting is the “muscari river” at the Keukenhof, in the Netherlands.
