What are the cons? nothing
I tried three varieties of snow pea this year - the Carouby, Corne de Belier and the Green Beauty - and the Green Beauty is the clear winner. They grew the fastest and produce more abundantly than the others, even though they get the least sun. The pods are huge, and just as sweet as sugar snaps. Unlike the others, they don't get tough even when the seeds have formed. I ate my first bowl before I even realized they had strings, which are easily removed. I enjoy them so much raw I haven't even cooked any yet.
