What are the pros? Pretty
What are the cons? Mealy
I got these seeds as a free gift in my order last year, and although I probably wouldn't have bought them I thought, what the heck? Why not give them a try? The first crop I let over-ripen because I wasn't ready for them. You can't see that they're ripe, you have to squeeze each tomato and see if it's tender. and mine got yellow and too soft before I realized they were ripe. So, round 1 was a fail (but the chickens liked them). That's okay, live and learn and try again. Round 2 was better, I picked them on time, but I wasn't impressed with the flavor at all. They are the only tomatoes in my garden that I'm not totally crazy about. I'll use them, but not as a main ingredient, and I won't be growing them again next year. Good thing we have a seed swap near and someone else might love them.
