What are the pros? Beautiful foliage
What are the cons? Takes up a lot of space
I managed to transplant four of my seedlings without killing them (like most of my other transplants this year!) and didn't know what to expect. Wow, I should have given them more space! It is now mid-September, they have stopped blooming for 3 months and they are huge mounds that resemble mums more than marigolds. The foliage on these plants is much more appealing than your typical marigold, much finer and a deep lovely green. I plan on planting again next year as these certainly shade out the weeds in a garden patch. Just give them the space they need!
