What are the pros? Easy seedlings, productive

What are the cons? None

Review:

The productivity is impressive. We seeded 15 varieties of tomatoes (mostly cherry-types) this year for a home garden, and although the seedlings were small, they grew fast after transplanting. These need more space than the average cherry tomato plants. Heavy rain and cloud cover delayed harvest of all tomatoes this year, but these were the first to fruit and ripen—several dozen per plant waiting to ripen and still growing and flowering. Our fruit ended up being larger and more elongate than the description, but nonetheless we’re quite happy with them. Will definitely save seed and try these again next year.

What are the pros? Tasty, prolific, long season

What are the cons? None

Review:

We planted three plants in Earth Boxes and enjoyed them from July through mid October. Very prolific and tasty. Easy to grow and no pests. Deer in our yard pruned the tops, but we had plenty behind the tomato fence. Heavy branches are sturdy and benefit from good staking. We will always plant these!

What are the pros? Tasty, Ripens quickly, Easy

What are the cons? Nothing

Review:

These are my first tomato plants ever. I started these indoors in late June(very late to start, I know), put THREE of them outside in August. I grew them in 5 gallon fabric bags with ultomato cages. They all grew very fast and tall. My biggest worry was that they wouldn't ripen by first frost, which was mid October this year. I got maybe a couple dozen vine ripe fruits. They were a bit bigger than ping pong balls and very tasty. I picked about 40 more green ones at the end of the season and they all started to ripen off the vine after about a week. They turn a golden yellow when fully ripe, are quite juicy, and taste like red tomatoes, but might have a slight tangy flavor. I can't wait until next year, I will start these on time.

Lovely but not in container

What are the pros? Flavor and color

What are the cons? Not great in container

Review:

I generally grow new varieties in a container until I figure out whether I like it. This is going in the raised beds next. Lovely flavor and color. Beautiful addition to a salad, if they make it into the house.. It tastes like a real tomato; not overly sweet, just a hint of acid. Can't wait to get the quantities other people are talking about. I'm attributing my low production to it being in a container.
