80-85 days. A huge, bi-color heirloom; brilliant yellow color with red marbling. Very large with a rich, sweet flavor. Beautiful when sliced. An heirloom believed to be from West Virginia.

What are the pros? Flavor, beautiful, size

What are the cons? Low yield, like most heirlooms

Review:

What a wonderful tomato! Since I live in West Virginia I thought it would be fun to plant an heirloom tomato from the area. The tomato has an outstanding flavor and it’s beautiful, even more so when sliced. As long I live here I’ll grow this one. The tomato in the picture doesn’t do it justice. The yeilds aren’t high but pretty similar to most heirlooms I’ve tried. The tomatos are a good size, ripened well if picked early and tasted great right off the vine. We get a lot of rain here and they did great without splitting.

I waiting patiently for this one and it was worth the wait. Huge delicious fruit that were very sweet and juicy. Complex flavors behind the sweetness but low acid. The color when sliced is incredible! Great texture too. Will definitely grow again.

What are the pros? high yield, great flavor

What are the cons? None

Review:

This was my first year growing Hillbilly, and I am very impressed! I typically grow several large bicolor varieties every year. My flavor favorite is German Queen, but I typically get only a few tomatoes per plant. The flavor of Hillbilly is almost as good, but the tomatoes have ripened much earlier (about a month ahead of German Queen) and the plant is loaded with tomatoes! I would highly recommend this variety in hot, dry climates. This is a new favorite I plan on growing every year.

What are the pros? Huge

What are the cons? Doesn't ripen on vine

Review:

Grew these last year. By September they were monsterous, but still green. I had to ripen them on the window. They were still good, but they could have been better.

What are the pros? excellent flavor

What are the cons? Small

Review:

Delicious flavor strong tomatoe with a yellow tomatoe flavor. I'm in central fla and tried to grow over summer. They didn't fruit and we didn't pick until December. They are small but yet delicious and prolific. It's not their fault fla is so very hot. Love them
