(Agastache X hyb.) Think Anise hyssop with a twist--this variety blooms in clear pink rather than the more usual lavender-purple. Incredibly free flowering on compact plants, early summer right through to hard frost, and the bees, butterflies and hummingbirds love it!

What are the pros? Nice color

What are the cons? Tiny

Review:

Well, I guess it's my own fault, but I saw 'hyssop' and I assumed this would be a large plant. I planted only one, and it was tiny. Like, stayed less than a foot and very thin all summer. I could see how this would be a lovely flower when massed.

What are the pros? Easy, vigorous, color, bees

What are the cons? None

Review:

These are laid back plants that will survive a great deal of adversity but look their best with decent soil and consistent water. They were east to start from seed indoors and transplant. The first batch that I transplanted outdoors had to survive extremely windy conditions and they made it through like champs. The plant growth is compact, neat and attractive and the flowers start coming right away and are long lasting. They keep coming with no dead heading required. The color is indeed pink, very pretty, and bees and butterflies adore the blooms. Plants averaged about 1' in height.

What are the cons? None

Review:

This plant brought Bombylius major, butterflies, and bees I have never seen. I will grow this plant always. Without this plant I may have never seen the Bombylius major.

What are the pros? Bumble bees love

What are the cons? nothing to dislike

Review:

As someone else said, the picture doesn't do justice to the color--I usually prefer soft or blush pinks, but the color of this is striking. The seeds germinate faster than the Korean Hyssop I also planted at the same time, but the leaves remain daintier, and it does not get as tall or full as some of the other hyssops/agastaches. Bumble bees love it. Looks beautiful planted in front of the Korean Hyssop and among liatris.

What are the pros? Attract bumblebees, smell nice

What are the cons? They end up everywhere

Review:

These are beautiful plants, easy to germinate and a great space filler. Bumblebees and butterflies LOVE them, they do well in pots and they smell great. My only problem? They self sow like crazy! I started six plants from seed and spent the next three growing seasons pulling them out from all over my yard.
