What are the pros? Unique and popular
What are the cons? None
I was so surprised. Typically customers around here want things that are the traditional colors they have come to expect. I didn't grow very many of these, and the neighbors cows got some. But I managed to bring in a few. When I would pull my truck up to begin setting up my stand, I couldn't even get these off the truck. They sold as quick as I opened the tarp. They were one of the hottest items because people wanted to make pumpkin stacks on their entry area. I had a hard time convincing them to eat them also. Lol! Who would have thought a strange gray-green pumpkin would be the fastest off the shelf. They are so heavy, with small seed cavity and lots of high quality flesh. Growing more this year. :)

What are the pros? Most productive pumpkin I grew
What are the cons? none
I planted these a little late here on 8--8-14 but seasons are long so I thought I would be ok. these did wonderfully for me, stood up well to the heat 110 on many days, pollinated my first female on 9-12-14 and harvested that fruit on 10-27-14. In total off of 3 plants I have or will harvest 13 fruit, between 6 and 12 Lbs., have had problems with aphids, and now in Dec. starting powdery mildew, so I am going to pull them soon, but still have a few on vine and they are still blooming.

What are the pros? Germinates well
What are the cons? Late flowering
I was really looking forward to this one and the seeds germinated well into plants started inside. Unfortunately an unseasonably cool/wet summer meant that the plants, once outside, got a late start. Looks like we'll only get 2 mature, ripened squash this year. :o( Will try again next year, however, because those 2 are beautiful (and hopefully delicious!)!

What are the pros? Size and flavor
We picked our first one 2 days ago. It was very big and heavy. I cooked it and I got 17 cups of cooked pumpkin. It has a great flavor. Also picked a smaller one and there is one that is still very young on the vine. We lost a few before maturity but we are very happy with these results! Definitely will plant again! Since there is at least 2 months left for them to grow, I am hopeful for even more.
