What are the pros? Large yield

What are the cons? Raccoons love it too!

Review:

Such beautiful squash and excellent yield. Out of the several varieties of squash growing in my garden, the pink banana was also sought after by raccoons! I would've liked them to stay out in the field longer but every night I find one dragged off down the hill with bites taken out of it! We want to enjoy some of them too! I picked the entire crop today. Highly recommend! Easy to peel with a veggie peeler, like a cucumber, so makes prepping a snap.

What are the pros? Hilariously prolific, HUGE

What are the cons? Taste is fine, not perfect

Review:

We have grown many different varieties of squash in our Northern California backyard, but this one is the one we still talk about. The year we grew this, it was so intensely prolific that it climbed up our lemon tree and we had HUGE two foot (longer maybe?) long squash hanging down from the tree. It looked like our lemon tree was having an identity crisis! The flavor is fine, but not my most favorite squash (it isn't as moist or sweet as some others). It's a great producer though, and it didn't have any problems. It really wanted to take over the yard! I think I'd grow it again just for the fun of it - or if I wanted to have a huge crop of squash to freeze.

What are the pros? Huge flowers for the bees

What are the cons? none

Review:

Unfortunately, this plant didn't do well for me this year. We had a horrible summer, after planting out I had to quickly get them back in as it unseasonably snowed and we had very low temperatures for a few days. It took the plants a long time to recover again, with continuing bad weather I can't blame the plants just the cold, rain and wind. Definitely try again next year.

What are the pros? Always produces something

What are the cons? May only produce just 1 squash

Review:

Scrumptious, different, and produces at least one fruit. My first attempt was fruitful, got five squash from one vine. If you got nothing from your plant, something's wrong.
