What are the pros? Ruby red, crisp crunch, juicy

What are the cons? Sun scald

Review:

My only 2 issues with this pepper is probably More my fault then anything. * Make sure you give extra support to branches So they can support huge fruit. * Sunscald is an issue- use row covers to Protect maturing peppers

What are the pros? Dependable, tasty, high yield

What are the cons? Hard to find pure seed

Review:

I really don't know why farmers went to hybrid seeds when they had this one to reliably depend on. I'd love to plant about 10 acres of them if I had a sale for them. They yield well, don't need a lot of water and average good size. They also taste better than most hybrids. It is fine raw but shines in stirfrys to gumbo. I have little disease pressure and the only bug problem are the tomato hornworms which defoliate them. They just grow back and make an even bigger fall crop. Not nearly as good as Corno di Toro but good enough.

What are the pros? Easy to grow, good producer

What are the cons? My peppers were on the smaller

Review:

I've had difficulty growing bell peppers, but Jupiter always does well in central NY (Syracuse area). My plants did not get large. The fruit, although not as big as the monster bells in the grocery store, are disproportional large compare to the plant. Good produceres too!

What are the pros? did produce some fruit

What are the cons? didn't like heat here

Review:

these performed the best of all peppers attempted in the heat. Surprisingly the best production was from a plant in a large pot on my patio! Perhaps it didn't get as much direct sun. Not sure I'll try peppers again in this semi-desert region with 100 degree temps all summer. May just be too barbaric for peppers although I have some that are semi-shaded w/ a tomato plant. They've fared somewhat better.
