What are the pros? Pretty cream-colored flowers
What are the cons? Very attractive to JBs, split
I was excited to grow these because the photos were so pretty. The germination rate was ok, but not as high as for the Brocade French-type marigolds from BC that I've grown before. The color was a disappointment to me because they were a so-so cream color, and the brighter white in the photos. As with all African-type marigolds, they were very attractive to Japanese beetles (and I don't need any more plants to have to pluck JBs from!). And finally, the fully-grown plants tend to split because they were so heavy they couldn't properly support themselves.
I guess I just prefer the French-type marigolds over the African-types. Thanks, BC, for selling these, as they are a very rare type. I just didn't like them.
