(Actinidia arguta) 'Ananasnaja', or 'Anna' for short, is one of the best producers of bite-sized kiwis. It has a tremendous cold hardiness and is easy to grow. Besides its rock-solid hardiness, one key element that makes this kiwi so special is its pineapple-like flavor! Use (Actinidia agruta) 'Hardy Male' as a pollinator. For zones 5-9. This collection includes 3 assorted plants (2 female & 1 male)

We are super excited to be offering a selection of live plants, these are produced for us by tissue culture, a natural process that produces plants that are generally high-quality and disease free. We have some stunning new food crops in our plant listing, we hope you will try some of the exciting rare plants we offer this year. Pre-order now, as supplies on some these will be limited. The plants we ship are small, but sturdy, and we offer a 30 day guarantee on live plants. Most plants will be 6”-12” in height. Plants will ship as available after the first of April to the end of June. We will ship orders to southern zones first. No guaranteed delivery dates. No orders shipped outside of the USA. No Extra shipping costs, just pay our regular $3.50. (PRE-ORDER PLANTS WILL SHIP AFTER APRIL 1, 2018)

What are the pros? Nothing

What are the cons? They did not grow

Review:

I planted these in large pots to start. They were looking very sad but I assumed it was shock or die back while they worked on their roots. I did some reading and read they actually do not like rich soil so after a while in their pot and looking worse and worse I transplanted them into another pot that had a sandy mix of soil so it wasn't to rich. They started to come back to life, but then boom, they died again and this time I could not revive them. They never grew more then 3 leaves per stem and they were weak looking. I'm sad as I really wanted these guys to grow. I also gifted some to a friend in Chicago IL area and she had the same exact problem.

What are the pros? Novelty

What are the cons? Needs support

Review:

Mine are in a not quite optimal spot (next to the house, somewhat shaded) so they are growing a bit slowly. Nonetheless, they seem to be healthy and happy (if a tad leggy). They survived the winter (zone 6) just fine. I am mainly adding a review of what I received (because I like to hear what people get in their "grab bag" before I purchase it). I received: Ogden Point, Ananasnaja, and Meader (male). Currently, Meader has the thickest stem. Anna seems to have stayed shorter, but is quite a bit bushier/sent out more stems from the base.

What are the pros? Very vigorous

What are the cons? none

Review:

These were tiny when they arrived in May, so I potted them into 1 gallon containers. They outgrew their pots within 1 month. They are now in the ground and have completely covered a 4' by 8' trellis in their first season. I guess I need a bigger trellis! It is too soon for fruit, but I sure can attest to their health and vigor.

What are the pros? Great Price

What are the cons? N/A

Review:

I ordered these in early April and received them in mid-May. I received the following varieties: Ananasnaja (Female), Odgen Point (Female), and Hardy Male. All arrived in good shape and appear to be very healthy. They come planted in a small plug so I potted them in a bigger container to let them continue to grow a little bigger before I harden them off and transplant them outside.
