60 days. The shape, size, and color of a lemon, but the flavor is sweet and mild! This heirloom was introduced in 1894 and is still a favorite today.

What are the pros? Plant grew well

What are the cons? No cucumbers

Review:

I grew 5 varieties of cucumbers this year all from baker creek. Out of the 5 this was the only one not fruiting. While I have been picking my Japanese long, sour gherkins and pickling types daily this lemon cucumber has had flowers all summer and no fruit! Very disappointed! However I noticed 2 cucumbers just starting yesterday but it is now August so I'm hoping they mature at a decent pace so I can at least see what they taste like.

Review:

Got some germinated plants the Comstock spring sale and didn't realize I bought a lemon cuke until round yellow fruit appeared! I'm glad I did. This was a lot of fun to grow. The vine was prolific and produced tennis ball and softball sized round, yellowy cukes. Great flavor. The kids loved to pick them off the vine and eat them like an apple. We'll definitely get more for this year. We had an issue with mildew in this wet growing season, but it made it through the summer before succumbing in the fall. This year I'll do more to actively prevent it. The mildew issue is the only reason I gave this a "4" for easy to grow.
