What are the pros? taste, heavy yield
What are the cons? none
I have grown different types of squash over the years, but this is my favorite. The taste is superior and there is an endless amount of squash.

This little but mighty seed is: prolific, insect resistant, drought tolerant (more than most squash, anyway), disease resistant from what I've seen this year (our 1st yr), and a virtual bee magnet! Aside from all that, it tastes great -- meaning that (1) the flavor's not over-powering (I can hide some in scrambled eggs; (2) it's wonderful when gently stir-fried, (3) can substitute in cake or bread for zuchinni, and (4) it's easily dehydrated and stored in quart jars. We love it! Oh, oh, my husband just brought up to the house another couple of 5-gallon buckets to put up. (Hint: the outside flesh is very tender, so make sure your buckets are really clean before you use them . . . .& if you pick one & it's dirty, wipe it off before putting it in the bucket w/the others. That way, you won't have to do anything but wash the outsides of them before processing (no peeling away any "dirty spots").
