What are the pros? almost everything

What are the cons? can take over your garden

Everyone should try at least 1 Lemon squash. Be sure to give them a lot of elbow room since they can swallow nearby plants. Once they finally get going, these guys can be huge so give them a corner of your garden so they can sprawl. Speaking of size, pick the fruit before it gets too big since they can be seedy and strongly-flavored when very large. When smaller, they're mild yet tasty with small seeds. One of the best things about Lemon squash is that squash bugs leave them alone. We were dealing with bugs on all our other squash last year. Not these. Bug free. Other summer squash grew quicker and germinated a bit better than Lemon but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try this one. It's worth the small extra effort to get it going and its many pluses far outweigh its small number of cons. Also, it needs lots of water but temperature fluctuations don't bother it in the least.
