What are the pros? Prolific, erect, easy.

What are the cons? none

Review:

I have tried six varieties - this beat them all. The plants are compact, easy to trellis, can be grown close together, and produce large quanities of peas. They are easy to harvest from the vine and to shell. They taste great, are extra large in size, and dry well for easy seed saving.

What are the pros? Hardy as heck

What are the cons? Wish it was a snap pea

Review:

I grew these both in the spring, and fall one year. They were very prolific, stood up to the heat, and even better, they over wintered through cold and snow, and then took up where they left off in flowering, and producing again in the spring! This will always been my fall pea, for sure.

What are the pros? Sprout quickly, grow fast

What are the cons? Died early

Review:

We have tried this variety for 2 or 3 years thinking maybe we'll figure it out, but we have been unsuccessful. They sprout quickly, grow somewhat fast, but then if we get a cold snap or a too warm day they just keel over and die. I think the problem is the big ups and downs of Oklahoma weather. We can have really random ice storms, then the next week have 76 degrees in January! If you have more constant weather I bet you'd be fine. We'll try a different variety this year.

What are the pros? Flavor, germination, beauty

What are the cons? None

Review:

I started these in a seed incubator and every one of them germinated. I put mine in a hanging planter because we are temporarily located in a small space apartment instead of our home and could not be happier with the result. These guys are easy to grow, taste great, and require very little effort. What more could you ask for?
