100 days. The standard open-pollinated variety since the 1890’s. Heavy yields of delicious sprouts.

What are the pros? Grew tall and strong

What are the cons? ravaged by aphids

Review:

This is more of an indictment on me than the plants, but despite growing big and strong, every plant was completely destroyed by a massive aphid infestation. Nothing else in the garden was affected, but every inch of these were covered in swarms of grey little buggers. Had to throw about 14 of these plants away (100%). Not sure if I'd have had any better luck with other varieties, or if aphids just loves brasicas in general, but just wanted to put my experience out there.

What are the pros? Easy to grow

What are the cons? None

Review:

I noticed a few other reviews had trouble developing sprouts on their Brussels plants. The trick is once the plant reaches maturity to cut off the top so it sends out side growth into the sprouts. Hope that helps!

What are the pros? all germinated

What are the cons? none

Review:

I grew these last year and I have never grown them before. I didn't know what I was doing. They were big and strong plants, however the little heads never developed right and had a bug infestation of black bugs.

Review:

Seeds were direct sown in late spring. Mid-summer I had nice looking leaves on 20 inch plants. Now in mid-November, I have 36 inch plants with massive leaves and tons of sprouts. The sprouts seem to have come after the first frost. Coldest temp so far has been about 27F and the plants look very healthy.
