Love-Lies-Bleeding Red Amaranth
60 days. The tall, 3-4 foot plants are covered in long, rope-like flowers of a deep, brilliant red. One of the most striking plants for any garden, amaranth is one of our favorite crops! It is so easy to grow and a good seed producer, too. This is a very old heirloom: a pre-1700 variety that was very popular. Young leaves are tasty as cooked greens.
