Elongated 2” fruit comes in stunning, jewel-toned shades of green and red, with hints of gold. This tomato gets top marks for flavor: tangy, sweet and complex with tropical notes and balanced acidity. Lucky Tiger has great market gardening potential. It stands out in the market display and is well suited for both greenhouse and field growing. The best snacking tomato we grow

What are the pros? Dauntless!

What are the cons? The color

Review:

I was given the seeds, I started them inside and my veg garden was not completed at the right time. They have been bearing fruit while still in Solo cups! Garden is now complete and they are planted and continuing to bear fruit. Tastes great but I just can't get used to the greenish hue.

What are the pros? size, very juicy, great taste

What are the cons? some splitting

Review:

it is a brutal battle to be my favorite variety of cherry tomato, but this is a clear winner this year. (Black cherries close runner up). Amazing flavor and a large fruits. Handful of fruits have split, but there are a lot per bush and I can cut away from the bad splits. grew very well in southern NY.

What are the pros? Grew easily, no disease issues

What are the cons? Tough skin, slow maturing.

Review:

Tried these for the first time this year. I was given a plant and warned that they are prone to splitting, but I found if you keep them watered it rarely happens. Learned the key to when they are ripe is when you can gently twist/tug and they come off the plant. The flavor is very good. I slice in half and sprinkle with salt. The skins are randomly very tough. These were slow to blossom, and the one plant has grown to 4’ tall but only produced about 15 tomatoes so far, not impressive for a cherry/grape variety. Unlike other types, lots of blossoms do NOT lead to lots of tomatoes. Maybe 2 for 10? Tomatoes grow well here, and this summer has been unusually hot, with many days in the high 70’s to low 80’s and lots of sun, which they love. Given that, these were a disappointment. I will try them again next year, just in case this was a fluke, because the flavor was quite good. They are not super sweet, but very flavorful.

What are the cons? Every last tomato split

Review:

Was unable to get a single ripe tomato that didn’t split open. Had to pick really early. Every last one split, over a period of a month. So frustrating.

What are the pros? Plenty

What are the cons? None

Review:

A great flavor with amazing colors when ripe. The green hues transform to mottled reds and pale yellows with the green coloring still dominating the coloring. The strips of red coming through is your hint to harvest. A mild sweetness really sets apart a salsa and eating it straight from the vine is as far as many make it. There was another review where they mentioned cracking and that is obvious even with very little rain and extremely high temperatures in the middle of the growing season. Even so, the plants have been quite fruitful and prolific. Highly recommend.
