50 days. This buttery podded bean is a true marvel! The pods are a yellow, wax type but are wide and flat like Romas. The combination opens exciting new opportunities in the kitchen! Highly recommended for bean salads, especially those recipes using Modeno balsamic vinegar. Very elegant and unusual.

What are the pros? Early and productive

What are the cons? None

Review:

This was the first year I grew yellow pole beans. I’m in northern Maine and have a very short season. These were ahead of my green beans. We’ve put up 15 quarts and eaten a lot fresh already. All on three poles. Vines over six foot.

What are the pros? High harvest

What are the cons? Low plants

Review:

?????I was expecting tall pole beans from the description on your and other suppliers sites, but in mid-season when my other beans are 6ft. tall, my 'Marvel of Venice' plants are still less than 2ft. high. They taste ok and I have already gotten three generous harvests from them, but I think I will treat them like bush beans next year and use their trellis (they have not managed to make use of) for another crop.

What are the pros? Great flavor, beautiful colors

What are the cons? low yield

Review:

I planted these in 2015 and 2016. After battling the deer for a taste of these gorgeous beans, I was rewarded with one of the tastiest bean pods ever. I grew up eating beans straight off the plant, but would never to that with these darlings. They deserve the time and effort to cook them. The plants were not the sturdiest and vined a bit more than I expected. The product description could spare a few words on growth habit. And the yield was low compared to other tried and true varieties. But I've come to expect that with more choice garden produce.

What are the pros? good taste

What are the cons? low yield

Review:

These were delicious snacks but not enough beans coming through for the family dinner. If I were to grow it again, at least 20-25 plants would do per household member. Maybe it's too hot down here in our southeast corner of the country. Not bothered too much by pests when started in March. These are my new favorite though because the color contrast of yellow pod and black bean is worth it.

This were lovely: very pretty, hardy, prolific, with a delicate yet rich flavor. My husbands favorite. He is not much of a bean person--but he insisted that we grow these again
