Stunning ears of mauve to rose pink, pearly kernels. Ears run 3-5” in length. 6- to 7-foot plants often yield 2-3 ears each. When popped, the kernels have a rather nutty flavor. Very decorative in centerpieces, equally enjoyable accompanying your favorite movie.

What are the pros? Easy to grow, great taste

What are the cons? None!

Review:

This was my first time growing popcorn, and what a success! Great germination rate, at least 4-5 ears per stalk. Ears are a really pretty pink color and make for great decoration while they're drying. Makes tasty popcorn.

What are the pros? Lots of cobs on one plant.

What are the cons? ?

Review:

First time I have grown corn. I put a few seeds in then forgot about it for a while. I got 2 plants growing which I hand pollinated although the timing might not have been the best as one grew earlier and I let a few cobs go largely unpollinated. I didn't baby them much, not a whole lot of watering etc... and they survived an Australian summer. One developed something like 9 cobs (3 on 3 separate stalks), the other one stalk of 3, although several of them where only partially pollinated. I also had some kind of bugs in the cobs but they didn't hurt the plants (or end up in the popcorn). The cobs are small (the 'mini' in the name). Mine seemed to be slightly more purple than pink, although they turned yellowish when heated. I got a few bowls of popcorn out of them. They popped and tasted great. Once popped they are white like normal (although they did seem slightly different colour compared to some store brought kernels I had). Stalks about chest height.

Review:

I grew this 20 years ago when my daughter was little. we both loved them. They were such fun to grow! The stalks reach 11-18" It loks like a dollhouse garden. They were very easy, and pest-free even with our very humid weather, and heat! I never thought I would see them again but am glad to have found more seed. We also had a baby blue variety and they hybridized in our garden to produce lavender corn the next year.
