What are the pros? Most seeds germinated

What are the cons? Not what I was expecting.

Review:

Wondering if I got the right seeds? Mine were just normal, small sunflowers. Maybe an inch or two across.

What are the pros? Pretty flowers, huge leafs

What are the cons? Lots of "blanks" - no kernel

Review:

Our plants reached about 10' tall with seed heads 14" across, and look very much like the picture shown. They probably would have grown taller/bigger in a warmer/sunnier area. The plants were extremely heavy and required staking even though the stalks were huge (about 4" across at the base), with relatively small root ball. The seeds dislodge from the head very easily so start falling out as the head bends over. With that, and many blank shells, we were a little disappointed and want to give it another go next year. Perhaps these don't have desirable pollen so weren't pollinated? These were planted next to a different variety of sunflower which did not have the same problem. Checking "not recommending to a friend" based on all the empty shells ... we specifically grew these for snacking ... but will change the rating if we grow again next year and have different results.

What are the pros? Arrived in a timely manner

What are the cons? Flowers not like described

Review:

Planted 2 packs but only about 50% came up. Plants that did grow had normal sunflowers. Some flowers were pretty nice but none got anywhere near the size described by the company. Got a better display of flowers from 1 pack of Mammoth Sunflower seeds bought from a local store. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Review:

I planted out all of the seeds and I had 100% germination. Only 4 of the plants grew to look like the picture on the seed packet. And when the description says they are tall with this giant face it is true. These sunflowers were giants among my sunflower patch. Good thing the stalk was super thick because the flower head when it started to droop was really heavy. Even though only 4 of the plants became super giants all the others still grew to be of superior size and were real eye catchers . I would definitely grow this sunflower again. Side note: Because this plant is so big it does require a long season. I put the seeds in the ground late February they germinated in about 7 days on average. The ones that got the largest seem to be the ones that grew in their own space, away from all other sunflowers. So less competition for nutrition and water. Only water early morning or late evening, never during the day when it looks like it needs a drink. I did kill one by watering mid day.
