95 days. (Capsicum chinense) Another in the infamous Scorpion series, so you know that near-lethal heat is included! Heat is only slightly less than the classic Scorpion; flavor is mellow and often described as 'smoky.' This one has an unusual color, olive-green with traces of yellow-brown, somehow reminiscent of aged bronze. The shape is variable, but every fruit is folded, pleated or wrinkled—no two alike!

What are the pros? unique color, yeild

What are the cons? none

Review:

Out of all the scorpions we grow this one is the most consistent. The heat is less then the regular scorpion but that makes it a perfect alternative for anyone not wanting to go straight to the scorpions. The color is very unique and looks awesome with all the different colors of scorpions mixed. Makes for a great display at the market. In 2016 we had a super hot and dry summer here and the peppers all turned out scorching, 2017 was a little different and the peppers turned out a little milder but still plenty of heat. Because of the short season here we have to grow these in a high tunnel which makes them a little milder then they should be. We had a bumper crop this year so dehydrated some and smoked the rest. The mustard scorpions mature a lot earlier then the red scorpions

What are the pros? Prolific, very pretty peppers

What are the cons? Not hot at all

Review:

These were easy to grow, beautiful, and prolific. But if you are looking for heat, they disappoint. The flesh barely had any heat at all. The seeds/pith had some, but nowhere near other scorpion peppers I have tried (where a 1" square of flesh with no seeds made an entire pot of curry hot enough to make me tear up). I won't be growing these again.
