ROUGHWOOD/EFN EXCLUSIVE. 'New Hampshire Victor' dates back to 1946, when it was released by the University of New Hampshire's Agricultural Experiment Station. It was the result of a cross between the tomatoes 'Allred' and 'Marglobe' (which is still a very popular variety). It is a parent of the popular orange tomato 'Orange King.' Yet 'New Hampshire Victor' itself, an early, flavorful, good-sized red tomato, is no longer commercially available anywhere -- except right here. We're convinced growers across the country, but especially in the north, will come to appreciate its virtues once again. Grown ecologically in New Jersey by the Experimental Farm Network.
