What are the pros? Easy to grow

What are the cons? dosen't cook well

Review:

This was by far my best producer this past year. I was surprised at it's production, although on the small size rarely getting over 2 in" these peppers were excellent as a raw pepper for dips. My wife and I enjoyed them with hummus regularly . Eating these peppers cooked however was not pleasant. they turn our dishes an unappealing gray color and go mushy. Just thought this was useful to those on the fence on trying this one out. I would argue that it completely depends on how you will be using it. for us PRO's : great producer, beautiful on the table, no pest or disease problem, and good raw taste. CON's: Didn't cook well, small size.

What are the pros? Color

What are the cons? Poor production

Review:

I have tried growing these peppers for 3 seasons. They germinate well and grow into nice green plants, but I have no luck with them producing many peppers. The ones they do produce remain small and are not as tasty as expected. I thought the first season was a fluke, but not all 3, especially since all of the other pepper plants I planted (jimmy nardello, ajvarski, 3-sided Syrian) did excellently. I will not be growing these again. I don’t think they do well with my soil/microclimate.

What are the pros? Easy, tasty, productive

What are the cons? None

Review:

Others have mentioned the vigor and resilience of this variety and I concur. They were some of the most productive plants in my garden this year, thriving in containers and producing from fairly early in the season to the current time (mid-September). They were moderately popular with aphids, but not nearly as much as other varieties. Aside from that, these plants were problem-free. One plant that snapped about seven inches above the soil during high winds managed to produce a respectable amount of fruit despite never quite recovering in size. Once the fruits turn a lovely and streaky purple-red they are sweet and juicy. I'll be growing again.

What are the pros? High germination/ production

What are the cons? Ran out of recipes

Review:

Absolutely love these peppers. Very unique color and nice little size, perfect for skewering on the barbecue. Believe it or not, they grew very well even when sowed right into the ground, just made sure to keep the mounds moist throughout our heat wave and they didn't even flinch. Very prolific producers with a high pepper yield per plant, our neighbors seemed to enjoy our excess as well! Re-purchasing immediately.

What are the pros? PURPLE

What are the cons? Thin flesh

Review:

Such a beautiful pepper. I had a rough garden year and these still showed up and produced well despite cool temps. Dozens of pretty purple peppers. Was a nice pop in salsa. They aren't bell pepper thickness so they didn't cook up too well, good for fresh eating.
