What are the pros? Quit early, very productive,

What are the cons? None

Review:

We've grown this pepper for three years now and simply love it. It is productive, each relatively short plant being loaded with nice lilac peppers. They are a bit smaller than an average bell but still nice sized. We have no problems with disease or insects with Oda. I use them in my sauces, stir fries and raw; all do well although the beautiful lavender does face in cooking to a light green. I'll always grow them on our 160 acre homestead!

What are the pros? Good germination, good yield

What are the cons? Smaller size fruit

Review:

I really like these peppers because both my husband and I like color but are not overly fond of the increased sweetness that typically comes with sweet peppers that aren’t green. These peppers had close to 100% germination rate with grow lights and a heat mat. Our plants produced an abundance of peppers into October. I just wish the fruits got a tad bigger, the smaller ones I just ate straight without slicing. We will be growing them again though and I think they have a permanent spot in our garden plans.

What are the pros? pretty

What are the cons? flavor

Review:

This did just fine, but I won't grow it again. I grew three different peppers, and this was the least productive, but that's not why I won't grow it again - I'm looking for a sweeter pepper. None of the three met my criteria, lol.

What are the pros? Easy to grow

What are the cons? dosen't cook well

Review:

This was by far my best producer this past year. I was surprised at it's production, although on the small size rarely getting over 2 in" these peppers were excellent as a raw pepper for dips. My wife and I enjoyed them with hummus regularly . Eating these peppers cooked however was not pleasant. they turn our dishes an unappealing gray color and go mushy. Just thought this was useful to those on the fence on trying this one out. I would argue that it completely depends on how you will be using it. for us PRO's : great producer, beautiful on the table, no pest or disease problem, and good raw taste. CON's: Didn't cook well, small size.

What are the pros? Color

What are the cons? Poor production

Review:

I have tried growing these peppers for 3 seasons. They germinate well and grow into nice green plants, but I have no luck with them producing many peppers. The ones they do produce remain small and are not as tasty as expected. I thought the first season was a fluke, but not all 3, especially since all of the other pepper plants I planted (jimmy nardello, ajvarski, 3-sided Syrian) did excellently. I will not be growing these again. I don’t think they do well with my soil/microclimate.
