What are the pros? early and prolific
What are the cons? none
This is the third year I've grown these and they've performed well each time, hot or not. The beautiful orange-yellow color stands out in a salad, they don't get watery or mushy in salsa and sauce and they're not quite as tart as regular reds. They start early and keep producing until frost, with very little splitting. The plants are typically pretty loaded with them. Like most other paste tomatoes, they will need watering during dry spells to minimize blossom end rot. I don't save seeds because I plant very densely and pretty much everything is cross pollinated so I'll buy fresh seed for next spring.
