Review:

I planted this variety and another you've carried in the past called Indiana Giant last year. A few things happened that I've never observed before! First, my gold finches and other birds LOVED the seeds. They would fight over the flower heads, even snapping a few! Second, they attracted a lot of leather wing beetles to the yard. The leather wings cleared my garden of aphids, there wasn't one in sight! And I have a lot of milkweed in my gardens so that's saying something! Third, honey bees and bumble bees adore this flower. On cold mornings in the fall I would see several bees tucked into all the nooks and crannies waiting for the sun to warm them up. This is a great fall nectar flower for bees! I will definitely be planting again!
