What are the pros? Very easy to grow & prolific
What are the cons? Tastes awful. Invasive
I started these from seed indoors in Jan, and transplanted to my garden May 2017. They grew quickly. I think berries appeared in June/ July. the small flowers were pretty, but the berries tasted awful. So I pulled ALL of the plants out of the garden and transplanted them under a tree so the birds could eat the berries. That was around August 2017. Fast forward to August 2018, the darn things are back in the vegetable garden and they have totally taken over the area. Removing them again and hoping that they do not show up again next year.
