75 days. A Roman heirloom that was sent to us by Mr. Barbetti, from Italy. The fruit is large and deep red, with almost a purple tint. The flesh is very rich, flavorful, and juicy. An excellent tomato for home and market gardeners; very rare and delicious.

Review:

We wanted to try a different tomato, something uncommon and special. We gave this one a try and were not disappointed. This was hands down the best tomato we have ever had. Great flavor, tender skin, just delicious! We will be keeping this variety for next year and adding something new.

Review:

The Perfect tomato. Delicious, meaty, beautiful and very versatile in uses. We ate them right off the vine, in sandwiches, soups, stews, salads, salsa's,slices, pickled, roasted ( and more) and the flavor is rich and delicious. A True Stand-Alone Tomato. This is our favorite of all tomatoes that we've grown. We have grown these every year since we discovered them here on Baker Creek years ago. We live in Zone 7 North Carolina. We grew them in raised beds and in ground. Hardy vines need support, we've used stakes, fencing and preferred to grow them against our front porch for the beauty and the support. By the way, I can not think of a better way to grown them than right against the porch since all I have to do is just step out the door and grab my tomatoes. We've companioned them with marigolds, basils and mints to keep pest away and they have always been disease free for us and we are totally organic growers. Our granddaughters ages 5 & 7 grow these by themselves at their house. Goof-Proof

What are the pros? Grew Easily, Large, Tasty

What are the cons? None

Review:

These were my favorite tomatoes of the five varieties I grew in 2018. We had a very wet year (a little too wet) and there were challenges with mold and fruit set with almost everything in the garden. But these did the best, by far. Just about all plants got over twelve feet long (some much more) with multiple vines and plenty of yield. Fruit was large, meaty, and very tasty. Very little splitting. No problems with germination or transplanting. These really were some of the tastiest tomatoes I've ever grown. Great for sandwiches. Will be growing again this year.

What are the pros? flavor, beauty, texture

What are the cons? want more tomatoes per plant

Review:

I've grown these tomatoes for several years. They are my absolute favorite because of the taste and meatiness. One year they went wild and each plant produced dozens of tomatoes, but usually they aren't so prolific. If I could only grow one tomato Pantano Romanesco would be the one.

What are the pros? Flavor

What are the cons? Would’ve liked more per plant

Review:

Zone 5B garden here and seeds germinated very well, way over 90% germ rate. I started seeds off and was so eager to get plants, I started way too many because dang near every seed germinated. I had a good 15-20 seedlings I ended up with so I had to give some away because of other varieties I was growing with them. I use the BTE method of gardening and these tomatoes did very well for us here. Out of 5 other varieties I grew, these grew the best. After making it through a night where the deer attacked the tomato plants, these babies kept on growing while some of the others didn’t fare as well. The fruit didn’t suffer from any disease this year and were very juicy with a nice tomato flavor. After pruning suckers and some of the bottom stems, the main stem got to a diameter of approx. 3/4” and was very strong. It easily outgrew the cage support I had for it and it grew all over the place. The taste is fantastic and makes great sandwiches and salsas. Will adjust support and grow again. A
