What are the pros? Easy, Delicious, Prolific

What are the cons? 0

Review:

Picked a few off the vine we'd missed in November and ripened in a brown bag! Had garden tomatoes for Thanksgiving in INDIANA...must've been beginners luck. Gave some to an older neighbor who proclaimed she hadn't had tomatoes this delicious since she was a child and would eat them like fruit. She doesn't eat tomatoes anymore because they have no flavor, but she loved these!

What are the pros? Tasty, early maturing

What are the cons? low yield, prone to stink bugs

Review:

I grew these in the 2018 season. The flavor was one the best I've ever had for a purple-brown type tomato - sweet, smokey, everything desired in a tomato. A big however is that the yields were very low and this variety seem to attract tons of stink bugs. We've had several wet summers in Upstate, NY and this has made made this type and my Black Krims prone to cracking so just be aware, these can crack. If it wasn't for the low yield and stink bugs, I'd probably grow again but alas I'm a container gardener and it's simply not worth the real estate. I'll stick to Black Krims only for now.

What are the pros? Yummy

What are the cons? None

Review:

I bought these about 6 years ago and grew them just fine. I lost my seeds during a move and they got left in a freezing northern Minnesota garage for 2 years. Not exactly how you should treat seeds. As a test I took the mistreated 6 year old seeds and planted them. They grew!!! Shocking! The germination rate in spite of the abuse was about 50%. The plants that made it grew perfectly with no effects from the abuse I heaped on them. The fruits where beautiful and delicious. I struggle getting my head wrapped around the color, I get all freaked out at first thinking they are bad but once you come to terms with the color they are delicious and a pleasure to eat and grow. I plunk them in the ground and other than an occasional watering I pay little mind to them until they start producing. We are under construction so I little time for pruning suckers and weeding and they produce with no maintenance.

What are the pros? The taste is amazing

What are the cons? slow starting

Review:

This tomato variety is my new FAVORITE tomato. The savory smokey taste is fantastic. The tomatoes themselves are larger then I expected which has been great. It has the perfect balance of meat and juice and has a flavor that is very unique. A must to try and taste. We will be growing this one every year from now on.

What are the pros? Color

What are the cons? N/A

Review:

I was dissappointed with this one. I expected it to compete with the carbon, but found it had a blander flavor. Good texture, love the color, plant was prolific. Not a bad tomato, just not as good as the Carbon.
