Very dwarf mixture of the crested French Marigolds; plants only grow to 10”-12” tall. Bright colors. Easy to grow, even in small pots.

What are the pros? Everything!

What are the cons? Nothing

Review:

My little girl sowed these directly into our first year garden this past April. Now in the hot/humid summer of the south, they are the ONLY thing thriving! Amazed at their germination rate, healthy green foliage, beautiful blooms and I love the fragrance. I even uprooted some to transplant elsewhere in the garden and they ALL survived and are growing well. Incidentally, every marigold we bought from the big box store (I really didn't expect much from the seeds) has been disease and pest ridden - we yanked them all but NOT these! Will buy and plant again.

What are the pros? Excellent germination

What are the cons? None

Review:

I love these! I started these indoors and they took off so fast. I even put the thinnings in the ground super early and they are grew like crazy. They are cute little bushes that have stayed within the described size but still enough to border my garden. Plus there are more than enough seeds in the packet. I recommend using maybe 2-3 seeds per pot as the germination was no-kidding excellent. If you're looking for a great deal buy these seeds.

What are the cons? highly dependent on soil

Review:

I planted these seeds (from the same packet on 2 different spots in the garden. They were both fertilized with compost equally, but the blooms and plants were considerably happier in soill amended with bone meal. Overall happy with the outcome. Will probably amend all my garden beds with bone meal regularly.

Review:

These were the easiest plants in my garden to care for! Like other reviews say they had bright, long lasting colors. Survived through Central Washington heat and I’m ready to see them come back next year. One recommendation I’d give would be to pinch back flowers if they try to bloom early while the plant is small, since the plant is trying to put all of its energy into making flowers and not leaves. So far the only colors that have shown are the red/orange but I’m not complaining!
