What are the pros? Easy to care for

What are the cons? I only have six of them!

Review:

I purchased my first pair in 2018. They have been in containers ever since. They have grown substantially and have made a great addition to my container gardens. I kept them in the house over the winter in a large South facing window. They did fairly well in that location. I moved them back outside in late March after the temps began to warm up. They have been out on my porch ever since. And are doing great. Hoping to get fruit in another year or so! I bought an additional two more in the early winter and then an additional two more this spring when they were back in stock. The four new ones have suffered a bit from being placed outside too early without hardening off, but that was 100% my fault. They are recovering well though and starting to put on new growth. I have loved adding these beautiful plants to my garden collection!

What are the pros? Grows easily

What are the cons? Anticipation

Review:

I planted mine in a large pot and keep them outside in the summer and indoors over winter. This winter one bloomed, and I have my first pineapple! It should be ripe in a few weeks, can't wait. The plant also produced a pup, which I potted. Looking forward to seeing the other bloom.

What are the pros? Pineapples are cute plants!

What are the cons? None

Review:

Couldn't resist two years ago, plants arrived ... Two, too cute, tiny, little wee babies... So that's how a pineapple starts its adventure... Well, not babies anymore, toddler stage reached last year now entering pree teens ... Should fruit this year or next. Planted in huge planters, they took up the planter space very fast.Overwinter in living room under 2 shop lights run 20 hrs a day, outside continuously late may until October. Absolutely no pests, deer don't eat.

What are the pros? Novelty, Hope

What are the cons? Dying, Disappointment

Review:

We received two types of pineapple in this order - elite gold and white jade. They are so cute. We planted them in a 3G planter. Unforntunately I went out of town and my son left them in the elements when it was 40 degrees. Both of them have nose dived, but I'm holding out hope that we can revive them and have homegrown pineapple in 2-3 years. *fingers crossed*

What are the pros? Easy to care for

What are the cons? Slow growing

Review:

Love these little plants. While they do grow slowly, that is to be expected. This is not a plant for an impatient person. They've certainly gained size since they arrived last year. Very simple to care for. Here in zone 5b, I bring them in on frosty nights before they come in for the whole winter. Even when I've forgotten them for a night, they take a hit from the cold, but keep on going. They do fine in a window for the winter and do not seem to like being overwatered. Other than repotting them, I've put very little effort into their care. They are going to look great on our deck when they're full sized!
