What are the pros? Beautiful, mild, crisp
What are the cons? none
I have grown these for a few years, and will continue forever. I get about 99% germination and it is quick. They require very little effort and are ready even earlier than other radishes, which seems crazy, but in my experience, true. If you make sure to water them properly, they are mild enough even for young kids to appreciate. They still provide all of the zing you want from a radish, but it is juicy and fades very rapidly. They are very rewarding to grow, especially with youngin's, as they are looking for instant gratification. Not only do you get great radish roots, but you can also pluck the baby sprouts and eat them as greens or wait until they seed out and eat the pea/edamame-like beans that come from the delicate, cottage-style purple sweet pea blooms. All-around winner. Very uniform, round and predictable.
