Potato, Purple Viking (10 lbs)

This early-maturing variety produces large tubers with marbled purple and pink skin and snow-white flesh. Purple Viking's flavor is highly rated in taste testing and it is excellent for baking, mashing, and more, making it a perfect all-purpose spud. This variety has been observed to have relatively good resistance to scab and leafhoppers. If left too long, however, this variety will produce massive, rough tubers. We suggest spacing plants 8-10 inches apart to control the size and keep the quality nothing short of gourmet.
