What are the pros? Ripens coastal; disease resist

What are the cons? None

Review:

Cool coastal summers, high wilt soil, over-planted yard--none of these seemed to bother Lyanna. Tomatoes had full flavor and a texture I favor (firm) for making salads in the morning for eating later at work. I have tried about 10 varieties over the past few years and this has been the most successful.

What are the pros? Great flavor, good production

What are the cons? Disease

Review:

This is my third year growing this variety, of which I have a real love-hate relationship. They always start out good and strong, and are an early producer. I find that suddenly my vines covered in more of these golf ball sized tomatoes than we can eat. They are very firm, have a nice flesh, a beautiful pink color, rarely bruise or split, the flavor is wonderful (sandwiches, salads, gyros, pizzas) and the production is wildly intense. I harvest them waiting for the next flush, and...nothing. The leaves begin to wither; branches die. The spotting and disease moves to the fruit. The few (single digits) that make the second flush are small, somewhat misshapen, lack the consistent pink coloring, have cracks, and look unappealing. I grow over a dozen varieties, but this is the only one with such problems and it will spread to neighboring plants, so I contain them. I purchased new seed, but the same thing occurs. Conflicted on this one.

What are the pros? First tomato to ripen

What are the cons? nothing

Review:

Having ripe tomatoes in MN in July is a first for me. This tomato did it. And the surprising thing is, it really tastes good! Very meaty and delicious. Can't wait to make sauce from it.

What are the pros? Good size, tasty

What are the cons? Nothing really

Review:

Not sure what the other reviewer is talking about, mine average about 3.5 oz per tomato so far (only have harvested 7 by late June) and the plants are just loaded with green ones, looks like it'll be a bumper crop. Nice flavor and meaty flesh, too.

What are the pros? very good taste

What are the cons? low production weight

Review:

I planted this tomato in different locations of my garden. I expected "medium size" but got 1- to 2-ounce tomatoes from both plants at a total, harvested weight of a little over 2 pounds per plant. From reading the description, I expected a larger tomato and much better production out of a plant that reached over 6 feet tall. Although the taste was very good, I'll plant another variety next year.
