What are the pros? Tastes wonderful, easy to sell
What are the cons? nothing
This is a staple of our winter crop. We transplant seedlings in fall and harvest in February, which is a four to five month growing period. The head size can range greatly, some really large and others small. Not sure why that is, but it's not a problem. We have never had issues with getting these to mature and produce. The only oddity we find is that the heads are not consistent in color. We can plant an entire seed pack and end up with head colors that may be bright lime green, avocado green, and even purple. We assume that this is an issue with crosspollination in the Baker Creek fields, but we don't find it to be a problem. This variety is reliably productive for us and easy to sell.
