What are the pros? Easy to grow, quick to bloom

What are the cons? none

Review:

Growing this for the first time. Started them in cells and had excellent germination rate. I have difficulty growing baby's breath in my warm-hot and humid climate, so I decided to use this as a accent plant among my vegetables and herbs. The pink/red blooms stands out beautifully and they appear to require no special attention. I've started more plants as I absolutely love them!

What are the pros? Stunning. Bloomed all season.

What are the cons? low germination rate

Review:

Grew this buckwheat last year. It is true that the germination rate was low, but the plants and flowers were well worth it. Gorgeous, stunning, bright... and bloomed all summer here in our cool NC mountains. Bought two packs this year. We have a late frost-free date, so I started the seed inside around mid April. Seeds that did germinate grew so fast, it was hard to hang on until mid May. Will start seed a bit later this year.

What are the pros? beautiful, pretty tough

What are the cons? want more seed for less :)

Review:

We planted this in mid-spring here in Northern Michigan and had an amazing season of color and pollinator habitat. Several successions of standard cover crop buckwheat came and went and these kept blooming and growing taller. I was hoping to save seed, but they only set late in the season and nothing had matured by the time we had a killing freeze. Would love it if BC would sell larger volumes of this seed!

What are the pros? Grow quickly; soon to flower!

What are the cons? Mediocre germination rate.

Review:

Planted a pack in October with sun. Expected a higher germination rate in a small planting area. It's been a month and appears ready to flower soon. Will reseed with a new pack to see if germination improves the second time.

What are the pros? Beautiful.

What are the cons? None

Review:

Have planted this buckwheat 3 times, with the current crop is now in bloom in my front yard (in partial shade), and it's about 2 1/2 feet tall. Beautiful pink flowers, the bees love it, and it needs little water. Seeds are easy to harvest as they dry on the plants.
