What are the pros? germination rate, vivacity
What are the cons? None
These beauties thrived even in a tough summer with first-year amended suburban soil (i.e. compacted red construction clay with some compost mixed in) and hand watering due to very little rain. The color in the picture is true to what bloomed for us--a very pleasant pink-and-fuschia variegation--but many were less showy, with the color "striping" being more muted and subtle. Wonderfully healthy plant, good long stems that were surprisingly strong for how thin they were, and sturdy, almost succulent-feeling petals that lasted well in a vase.
