What are the pros? Easy disease free prolific
What are the cons? slower to start
This was a tad slower to start then my other kale plants but once it started going it really took off. It's prolific, easy, tolerant of the crazy weather we have had (cold nights, hot days, then crazy rain for 2 weeks straight, then dry and super hot for 2 weeks, now back to storms...oy!!). They are a pretty hands off plant. Just let them do their thing. I will say my garden is being over run by flea beetles (I just ordered beneficial nematodes to take care of that problem) and they are making Swiss cheese out of the lower leaves but the plants are still kicking them out and happy and healthy. Flavor is good. Thinner leaves then the curly kale but still crisp. Good fresh, cooked, roasted, or dried so a pretty good all around kale variety.
