This highly gourmet variety hails from Mugla, Turkey. Slender, serpentine fruit has exceptionally tender and bitter-free flesh. Plants produce an abundance of impressively long fruit. This is quickly becoming one of our favorites at the Baker Creek restaurant for its highly refined classic eggplant flavor.  A big thank you to Dr. Mehmet Oztan of https://twoseedsinapod.com,  who originally named this variety, for providing us with the original seed to grow so we could offer it.

What are the pros? Taste and Production

What are the cons? none

Review:

Amazing eggplant! It was slow growing starting out, but did not take long to catch up. Color was deep purple/black, with long snake like vegetable as plant was very stable..eventually needing a little help keeping branches from sagging on the ground. Production was very good..and still producing as i write. The taste is fantastic!!...smooth with creamy consistancy. I grew 7 different eggplants, along with this one..but this eggplant came out as my number 1..in all catagories!! When i received these seeds..it said on pack that it was 40% germination rate..but all of the seeds grew. I had 6 plants and they have all produced wonderfully..Will keep these on my table..yummy!!
