70 days. Israeli variety. Short, very thick pods are quite delicious. The pods are twice as big around as most okra.

This was my favorite Okra last year. They stayed tender longer than the Clemson, and were delicious.

What are the pros? Flavor, workability, vigor

What are the cons? occasional curled pod

Review:

Plants were vigorous and responded well to pruning. Nearly all plants formed offshoots early(good for later season yields). Pods: were tender, easy to pick(pop off), tend to be less slimy, had great flavor. Plants had some spines but they were small and usually negligible. My only problem was that occasionally pods would form curled and had bad spots inside of the curl. Not a major issue as the plants had incredibly high yields of usable pods.

What are the pros? not slimey

What are the cons? none

Review:

I have really enjoyed this okra plant. The blooms are so pretty. The plant is not covered with stickers. I love the fact that they are much less slimy than other okra I have planted.

What are the pros? Great producer! Huge pods!

What are the cons? None

Review:

This okra is by far the best I've ever grown. I grew it last season and had a huge crop! I didn't plant any this season, but it planted itself! The old pods left in the garden germinated and grew voluntarily. I've got more okra than I know what to do with! Which is absolutely wonderful! One stalk is over 6 foot tall! Great okra flavor that slice up beautifully! Try this one in your garden this season!

What are the pros? The size stuns people.

What are the cons? None... only positives.

Review:

Just pulled my first one. This is an ideal variety to fry as most tend to get smaller in the frying pan. However, 2 might be more than your plate can handle. I had to log in and buy more as there's still plenty of time to plant and grow these here in Central Texas. Thank you Baker Creek and "Star of David".
