(Pandanus amaryllifolius) Commonly known as Pandan leaves, this tropical plant is used widely in Southeast Asian cooking. The intensely aromatic leaves impart flavor to everything from savory dishes to breads, jasmine rice, crackers & cakes or is boiled into a paste for seasoning. This diminutive member of the screw pine family thrives in sub-tropical and tropical climates, but can also be grown indoors as a houseplant. Plants reach 3-4 feet in height and are hardy from USDA zones 9-11 or grown indoors (hardy down to about 45F). Please consider these terms before ordering live plants: Most plants will be 3”-7” in height. All plants will ship prompt weekly as available from the first of March to the end of May. Please make sure you are ready for your order in your zone as these young, tender plants generally have no resistance to cold.
