Dwarf Orinoco may be small in size, but it is mighty in stature and quite rugged and cold hardy! Grow outdoors in zones 7b-11 or in a pot in northern regions, bringing indoors or in greenhouse over winter. These stocky trees are more wind resistant than other types and the straight fruit will ripen on tree without cracking. They boast phenomenal flavor and this heavy bearing variety will benefit from a bit of support to help carry the immense fruit load. The iconic dwarf cavendish is the most popular greenhouse banana, and for good reason, the 6-7 foot plants produce loads of sweet, dessert bananas. The plants are hardy from USDA zones 7-11 and are well suited to container culture for those adventurous northern gardeners who like to grow bananas indoors. Please consider these terms before ordering live plants: Most plants will be 3”-7” in height. All plants will ship prompt weekly as available from the first of March to the end of May. Please make sure you are ready for your order in your zone as these young, tender plants generally have no resistance to cold. For any issues with your order please call our customer service and we will do our best to help you in a timely manner. No orders shipped outside of the USA.
