This ancient of strawberry was popular in colonial America as well as 17th century Europe. Fruit have bright red skin and pure white flesh. These bear in June and are best eaten right out of the garden,;they have superb flavor, not shipping quality. The amazing little berries are very different from other strawberries. Smaller than a hybrid garden berry, yet larger than an alpine variety, the berries are far more flavorful than anything we’ve ever tried. The crazy bubblegumpineapple flavor is definitely kid approved-- Sasha loves them! Almost unheard of today, but is the best for flavor. (3 plants)

Please consider these terms before ordering live plants:
Most plants will be 3”-7” in height. Plants will ship as available after the first of March to the end of
May. We will try to ship orders to southern zones first. No guaranteed exact delivery dates. Plants may
arrive too early and have to be kept inside until the weather warms. Plants may arrive late, as well.
Due to the sensitive nature of small plants, there is the possibility of a crop failure. If such a situation
occurs, we will do our best to issue you a refund in a timely manner. Last minute losses can occur at
any point in our shipping timeline, and we may have to issue a refund even late in the season. No

orders shipped outside of the USA. No Extra shipping costs; you just pay our regular $3.50. (PRE-ORDER PLANTS WILL SHIP AFTER MARCH 1, 2018)

What are the pros? Great flavor, unique

What are the cons? Hard to tell if ripe

Review:

I planted different kinds of strawberries last year, so when these had berries this year, I wasn't quite sure what they were. Mine don't turn really red, so I thought they had mixed with the white pineberries. This also makes it hard to tell if they are ripe... I wouldn't have picked them but my daughter started picking and eating them. They are much smaller than regular strawberries but are super flavorful and remind me of guava or something more tropical. They are becoming my favorite!

Review:

First I want to say how fast, nice and professional this company is. I received my order 2 months ago. One of my plant did not look so good so they shipped me a whole new order of 3 strawberry plants. My plants are growing nicely. They are even producing runners which I am enjoying to have more strawberries next year. The plant is fairly easy to grow. Now, I can't wait to taste them.

What are the cons? supseptible to disease

Review:

These grow like wild strawberries and quickly outgrew where I planted them and are now in the yard. The flavor of the good ones is amazing, with much more depth and interest than other types. Like a cross between a strawberry and raspberry. Unfortunately they are susceptible to rot and powdery mildew. They are also inconsistent in color and flavor. One of my plants is ripe when barely red and produces larger berries (about the size of a blackberry) than the other two plants. The other two must be red to be ripe but are rotting and mildewing. If you wait one day too long to pick these they taste like sweet vinegar, meh. I also planted Old North Sea strawberries from Bakers Creek in the same bed and they are perfect, not a single issue. I will be pulling these out to make more room for the north sea variety.

Review:

Ordered three plants last year, all arrived healthy with one sending out a runner already. Once potted they sent out tons of runners, I rooted many and established a good sized bed in the fall. It's looking happy in early spring and I'm looking forwards to harvest!

What are the pros? Great flavour

What are the cons? None

Review:

I ordered 3 plants last year. They have completely outgrown the large tubs I put them in, and runners promise many new plants. Despite our unusually cool summer, I have begun to harvest delicious fruit which do indeed have a flavour reminiscent of bubble gum. I'll be transplanting the plants into larger beds and growing as many as I can. A worthwhile plant to grow.
